MINOTEDO NITRI-BLACK™ cookware comes factory pre-seasoned and ready to use after a simple rinse, thanks to its advanced nitriding oxidation treatment that already provides rust resistance and initial non-stick properties.
Initial Use
Rinse with hot water and mild dish soap to remove any factory residue, then dry thoroughly with a towel. No lengthy boiling or oiling is needed upfront.
Building & Maintaining Seasoning
Heat the pan on medium for 2-3 minutes until dry. Add a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil (like flaxseed or grapeseed), spread evenly with a paper towel, and heat until smoking lightly (2-4 minutes). Let cool completely. Repeat 2-3 times for optimal seasoning buildup—the micro-honeycomb surface enhances oil retention naturally.
Everyday Care
-
Cook with oil or fat to build seasoning over time; it improves with use.
-
Clean with hot water and a soft sponge or chainmail scrubber (metal-safe due to 3x harder Nitri-black layer). Avoid dishwashers or prolonged soaking.
-
Dry immediately after washing and apply a light oil coat if storing long-term.
This low-maintenance process ensures lasting non-stick performance and rust-proofing without traditional cast iron hassles.
